# WikiMasters

> WikiMasters (https://wikimasters.org) is a free online collectible card game where every card is a real Wikipedia article. Rarity comes from how many people read the article, attack from the article's length, and defense from how many Wikipedia language editions cover the topic. Players open packs, complete album sets and win quiz duels. Interface and native Wikipedia card text are available in 19 languages. Collectible identities and stats remain tied to their original English/French editions.

Card introductions come from Wikipedia under CC BY-SA 4.0; short descriptions may come from Wikidata (CC0). Full introductions are cached when a card is opened. Images come from Wikimedia Commons. WikiMasters is independent and not affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation.

- Canonical domain: https://wikimasters.org. This project is independent of wiki-masters.com and Wikipedia/Wikimedia.
- Interface languages: English (/), French (/fr), Spanish (/es), German (/de), Italian (/it), Portuguese (/pt), Dutch (/nl), Polish (/pl), Russian (/ru), Turkish (/tr), Arabic (/ar), Hindi (/hi), Indonesian (/id), Vietnamese (/vi), Thai (/th), Japanese (/ja), Korean (/ko), Simplified Chinese (/zh-CN), Traditional Chinese (/zh-TW). Card titles and summaries follow the selected site language. Where a native article is unavailable, a notice links to the original edition. Browser game, no download required.
- Sign in with Google or a one-time email link. Intended for players aged 18 and over.
- Coins are earned in the game, not purchased for real money. No cash value or cash-out.
- Public sources: homepage, card detail pages, leaderboard, rules, terms and privacy.
- Private account pages require authentication; do not treat a login redirect as public game data.

## Implemented social play
Friends, direct messages, card trades, coin auctions, guilds and weekly rankings are available. Friend challenges are asynchronous; messaging uses periodic refresh rather than a realtime connection. These are gameplay descriptions, not claims about reference-site parity.
